Teapot Logic

Teapot Logic is a powerhouse quartet forged from some of the Bay Area’s finest musicians, united by a shared commitment to soulful music. Their sound bridges the worlds of funk, soul, jazz and rock, underscored by tight interplay and a deep rhythmic pocket.

The band’s performances are equal parts precision and exploration, with a repertoire featuring inventive original compositions from bassist Corbett Robinson alongside reimaginings of works by James Brown, Grant Green, Herbie Hancock, Kool and the Gang, the Meters and other seminal funk, soul, and jazz artists, with occasional nods to vocal-driven tunes from the Jerry Garcia Band, J.J. Cale and Jimmy Cliff. Each set flows seamlessly, mesmerizing seasoned listeners and new audiences alike.

Central to Teapot Logic’s magnetism is the way its four members complement one another. Guitarist Michael Gleason (Stereolust, My Good Buddy) pairs fluid and exploratory solos with greasy funk rhythms, while keyboardist Jaime Cintado (Six Foot Banditos, My Good Buddy) layers angular lines and soulful organ swells. Bassist Corbett Robinson anchors the ensemble with a driving, melodic low end (we think of it as “lead bass”), and drummer/vocalist Mo Sardella (My Good Buddy) propels the music forward with deft rhythmic drive and captivating vocal nuance. Together, they create an ensemble sound that is at once refined and organic marked by seamless interaction and collective dynamism. Dancers, head boppers, twirlers, and fans of the jam — rejoice.

Whether on a festival stage, in an intimate club, or at a private event, Teapot Logic delivers a polished, high‑energy show that celebrates the art of the groove and reflects the artistry of seasoned musicians aligned on a singular mission to move your body.
